(June 8, 2016) St. Louis, MO… The EducationPlus® Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Matt Goodman as the new interim Executive Director for the St. Louis area school district cooperative for the 2016-17 school year. “We conducted a thorough search and had a deep pool of talented applicants,” said Board President Dr. Tom Muzzey. “Dr. Goodman was the right choice for a number of reasons. He is very analytical and understands the power of data, be he also knows how important the interpersonal relationships are with our staff and the people in our member districts. His influence and reputation extend well beyond St. Louis and organizations from around the state regularly ask for his assistance on a variety of topics.”
Dr. Goodman is in his third year at EducationPlus and currently serves as the Deputy Director for Planning and Accountability. “I’m very humbled by the selection and thankful for the opportunity,” said Dr. Goodman. “I understand the unique business model we have at EdPlus, our challenge is to effectively manage our resources while providing world-class programs and services, ultimately for the benefit of more than 300,000 students served by our member districts.”
Previously Dr. Goodman served as the Director of Quality Improvement and Accountability for the Springfield R-XII School District. He received a Bachelors from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Masters from William Woods University, and an Specialist Degree and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
EducationPlus is a non-profit educational service agency that brings school districts together to share resources, information and services in educational technology, cooperative purchasing, staff development and more. EducationPlus serves as a proactive voice for education and is a voluntary, membership-driven organization with 62 member school districts in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
