The annual Best Practices Conference is a joint program between Cooperating School Districts and Regional Professional Development Center Advisory Board. Participants have the opportunity to hear and learn from practitioners that are making a difference for students and teachers in the St. Louis area. This is reflected in increased knowledge, improved skills and academic achievement. This year, on November 1, participants have the opportunity to attend four breakout sessions and hear the keynote, Dr. Monte Selby – an educator and author.
While the keynote speaker has been selected selected, Cooperating School Districts is looking for regional educators to share their best practices. CSD has now opened the call for proposals. The conference theme is Honoring Teachers, Classrooms and Schools That Get Results (in grades K-12). Breakout sessions are scheduled for 65 minutes at conference; individuals or groups may present. The deadline to submit a proposal is September 20, 2012.
Those selected as presenters will be responsible for their own handouts, and will have the opportunity to put their resources on CSD’s Moodle, so that participants can download them prior to the conference. (CSD will provide information on how to upload to the Moodle). If you are interested in attending, but not presenting, note that online registration is currently open.
