The day following the Best Practices Conference, the Support Staff Academy presents ‘Rekindling the Fire of Positive Public Relations.’
Schools are actually service agencies of public and private entities. The patrons should expect and receive competent and courteous service when schools are assisting children. It is the charge of each school employee to project an image of professionalism and positive regard in each facet of his/her responsibility. This session, presented by Rod Dollins, an adjunct history professor and former school principal, guides each participant through a self-inspection of current “customer service” and offers research-based data that can foster a more positive relationship with the public.

- Possessing an Open Mind When Presented New Strategies and Procedures
- The Importance of Being Responsive, Building Relationships, Following Up
- Being Aware of Non-Verbal Communication
- Displaying Patience in the Face of Adversity
